This is a commercially focused role sitting at the intersection of Finance, Product, Risk, Treasury and Distribution. You’ll use data, financial analysis and commercial insight to understand what is driving portfolio performance, identify opportunities and help the business make informed decisions around growth, pricing, profitability and investment.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of initiatives from pricing strategy and portfolio optimisation through to business cases, new propositions, AI and automation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Portfolio & Profitability: Analyse portfolio performance, profitability, margin, funding costs and credit outcomes, turning insights into opportunities to improve returns.
  • Pricing & Optimisation: Lead pricing analysis, support risk-based pricing and assess the impact of pricing decisions on volume, margin, risk and customer outcomes.
  • Commercial Strategy: Build financial models, forecasts and business cases to support new products, strategic initiatives, investments and longer-term lending strategy.
  • Channel & Customer Economics: Assess broker, channel, product and customer profitability to identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
  • AI & Business Improvement: Evaluate AI, automation and technology opportunities, quantify benefits and support investment decisions and value tracking.
  • Commercial Insights: Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and partner with senior stakeholders to drive better business decisions.

About you:
You’re commercially curious, with strong judgement and a drive to understand the “why” behind portfolio performance. You can simplify complex analysis into clear recommendations, confidently challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership of complex problems to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

You will have:
  • 5+ years' experience across portfolio management, pricing, commercial analytics or related roles within financial services
  • Experience in consumer lending, retail banking, automotive finance, asset finance or unsecured lending.
  • Strong understanding of lending economics, profitability, pricing, margin and credit risk.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and business case experience.
  • Advanced Excel and strong SQL skills, with experience in Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Strong commercial judgement and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to challenge assumptions, simplify complex information and communicate clear recommendations.
  • A proactive, curious approach and confidence working across multiple stakeholders.
