Exo is hiring a visionary designer who is capable of telling beautiful stories of the future.

Exo is democratizing machine intelligence for all. We believe that owning your intelligence is a fundamental human right, that privacy is inalienable and that the individual must remain sovereign over their owned intelligence. Today you have to make a compromise: you can either run frontier intelligence in the cloud but surrender your private data to a handful of immensely powerful companies; or run AI locally with an inferior model that’s slow. Exo is removing that compromise so that anyone with a MacBook can run unmetered frontier intelligence.

We are a team of researchers and engineers with deep expertise in Local AI. We work with teams at NVIDIA and Apple to optimise Local AI. We developed the best infrastructure for cross-device tensor sharding of a model across multiple physical pieces of hardware. Apple recommends us on their site for clustering the new M5 Ultra! Exo is the default solution for anyone trying to run a model in a distributed compute cluster. Exo is becoming the default solution for anyone trying to run a local AI model on any device.

Exo is building the future of how people interact with Machine Intelligence. Through devices owned, leased or borrowed - anyone will be able to seamlessly integrate a local model in a manner that is as simple as installing and running a game on Steam.

We need a designer capable of telling this story visually. A future of democratized intelligence - powered by a beautiful, intuitive, simplified interface.

The wifi router was once an expensive, complex piece of hardware that few owned. Today, it is ubiquitous, nothing. Magic. Soon, Local AI will be the same way. Personal Machine Intelligence. In the home, as easy as setting up a wifi router. A technological revolution that is controlled by the people and not the powerful few. We want a visionary, not a mercenary.

We ideally are looking for a designer with professional training. We want rapid, iterative, and visionary design with a clear focus on simplicity and intuition. This role will touch many aspects of the Exo product and is high impact and high agency.

Degrees in HCI, Design, etc. are welcome but not required.
