cylib GmbH is a battery recycling company. It transforms end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and production scrap into marketable raw materials. The company covers all process steps from discharging batteries to hydrometallurgical extraction, including processing of production scraps and black mass. Its process recovers all elements in lithium-ion batteries, using a proprietary water-based method for lithium and graphite recovery. cylib was founded at RWTH Aachen University. The company operates with 100% renewable electricity and targets a lower-carbon alternative to raw material extraction for a circular European battery value chain.
Produktionsmitarbeitende (m/w/d) – Batterierecycling job description
Your mission
You will support our production process in the areas of logistics, battery discharge and dismantling, or mechanical processing — depending on your experience and operational needs:
- You will take on operational tasks along the material flow: from incoming goods and storage to the safe discharge and dismantling of batteries, as well as feeding materials into mechanical processing.
- You will coordinate incoming materials, carry out internal transports, and support packaging and shipment preparation.
- You will operate equipment and workstations in your area, monitor ongoing processes, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- You will carry out visual and incoming goods inspections, document processing steps, and ensure proper further processing of materials.
- You will assist with cleaning and basic maintenance tasks and contribute to a safe and orderly working environment.
- You will consistently comply with safety regulations, HV guidelines, and environmental protection requirements — safety is our top priority.
- You will work closely with your colleagues and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
Your profile
- You have completed vocational training, ideally in a technical or skilled trades field; candidates with non-technical backgrounds but a strong technical interest are also welcome.
- Initial experience in production, manufacturing, skilled trades, or a technical environment is a plus, but not required.
- You hold a forklift license and ideally have practical driving experience.
- You work carefully and reliably and have a strong awareness of safety.
- You are willing to learn new equipment and processes — we will provide structured onboarding.
- You are willing to work shifts and perform physical work.
- Knowledge of HV safety standards (HV2E/HV3E) is an advantage, or you are willing to obtain these qualifications with us.
- You communicate confidently in German. English skills are a plus.
