Job Title: Media Asset Operator



Overview:

Media asset (“Incoming and Outgoing”) operators work with clients to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and to manage them on the network and archive them when work is completed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.


Responsibilities:

  • Access video incoming/outgoing files using file transfer clients such as Aspera, Signiant, S3
  • Manage files and data on the server in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform quality control on incoming video assets against a given specification.
  • Address and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Communicate with internal departments (QC, Project Management, Tech, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn and undertake additional department duties as required


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a post-production of media environment.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery platforms such as Aspera, Signiant, S3.
  • Familiarity with metadata / XML creation and verification, digital packaging and quality control processes.
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of audio/video, physical and file formats and electronic delivery platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
